Amy’s career has been fuelled by a lifelong passion for dance, which is what led her to become a physiotherapist, and have special interest in treating dancers. As a young student, she trained in many dance genres on the Gold Coast, with a strong ballet foundation. She competed in many competitions, and underwent ballet exams to completion in the ACB syllabus (Russian Vaganova style) before commencing tertiary level full-time contemporary training in Canada. From personal experience, she understands the athletic and artistic demands required for dance, while appreciating that each body is unique. Amy is excited to help dancers overcome barriers to performing their best by utilising a range of treatment modalities such as manual therapy, strength and conditioning, Pilates, injury management and pre-pointe assessments/ programs.

Amy is a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, and the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She strives to continue learning and is excited to evolve with the physiotherapy profession and the current times that we live in.
