B.Phty at Monash University in Melbourne

Grad Cert Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Victoria

Isabelle completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University (2008) in Melbourne before relocating to work at a private practice in Emerald, Central Queensland. During her 2 years in Emerald, Isabelle gained experience working with a diverse range of clients with musculoskeletal
injuries, acute and chronic pain, workplace injuries and rural accidents, also completing workplace assessments for the Mining community. Isabelle’s love for Queensland and its people started to grow strongly from here. After another 2 years working in one of Melbourne’s private rehabilitation
centres, she moved to the London and worked for the National Health Trust (NHS) in the orthopaedic and musculoskeletal areas, whilst traveling to many countries in Europe, Central and South America and Africa. After four years of this fulfilling lifestyle, Isabelle moved back to Melbourne and continued her development in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with Victoria’s largest public health network. During her three and a half years at Monash Health, Isabelle completed her Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is in the process of completing her Masters. Whilst at Monash Health, Isabelle expanded her knowledge and skills across acute, emergency department, outpatient and community service areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, whilst developing strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons. Isabelle has recently returned to Queensland to resume her desired lifestyle and enjoy everything the sunny
state has to offer.

With over 12 years’ experience, Isabelle is passionate about post-operative management and rehabilitation in the recovery from both elective and trauma surgery i.e.) knee surgeries, shoulder reconstructions, ankle reconstructions and joint replacements, as well as pre-rehabilitation and/or
conservative management of all fractures and soft tissue injuries. Competing at high levels herself in various sports, including rowing and basketball, Isabelle understands the importance for athletes to return to sport in a client goal focused manner, whilst maintaining a healthy therapeutic alliance.
Isabelle’s experience and training as a primary contact practitioner in an Emergency Department has given her a keen interest in diagnosis and management of acute injuries and pain management.
Isabelle also has a keen interest and biopsychosocial approach managing people with chronic health/disease and those experiencing chronic pain conditions from her experience working at a busy Pain Clinic in Melbourne.
