May 2020 Newsletter
Dear Living Well Family,
A lot has happened since we last wrote. We have been incredibly impressed with our whole community’s response to COVID-19, it has been an amazing example of humans caring for humans.
Since March, the studio has been operating in a reduced capacity to abide by social distancing recommendations. Staff and clientele have been hugely adaptable with changing hours and embraced a swift move to go online for many services. It’s great to now see the place building back up and on our way to full capacity again.
We will continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene throughout the studio.
Group sessions are back!
We are very excited to be running group physio sessions again. The sessions will be run on a different schedule to what they originally were due to the many changes that have occurred so if you had a regular class in the past these may not now exist. However, we have a dedicated team who are managing the bookings of these sessions and are keen to help you reinstate.
Please email tash@thelivingwellstudio.com.au if you haven’t booked into a regular class. Physios: Indi, Claire, Megan, Tiele, Ali, Sam, Sarah, and Cat are pumped to be able to run these sessions again and look forward to seeing you back in the studio!
It may be time for a reassessment!
Having some time away from exercise, or changes in work situations can mean you have different focus areas and goals. Book in with any of the physiotherapists for a 30min reassessment and see where you are at, we highly recommend it.

Massage is back!
Kelsey, Amy and Leesa are excited to be back, making massage available 6 days per week. We (including the staff!) have missed their healing touch greatly and have all been madly booking in for some soft tissue health support!

Psychology is back in house and online

Louise has been non-stop with psychology sessions during this time but was forced to move online. We are so excited to have her back in the studio for people who do want psychology face to face.
Nutrition is back in house and online
Alyse has also been very busy online during this time but has started face to face consults again and ready to help with lots to offer about any nutrition support you need.

Baby Time!
Another staff member is off to have a baby! Laura has been an amazing leader in our team and we wish her and Scott all the very best with the birth of their baby. We can’t wait to see Laura back in the studio on the other side and maybe in our Bubs and Me sessions!
We would like to warmly welcome Tash to our management team.
Tash joins us to take over managing the studio from the legendary Laura who is moving on to have a bubba! Tash comes with lots of experience in customer service, management and health. We are beyond excited to have her join in this transition time, so look out for her on the floor.
“Simplicity, fun, adventure, love and connection is how I guide my days. You can find me eating avocados, teaching my five-year-old daughter how to surf, getting salty and sweaty then sipping a delicious coffee after!
I have a Health & Fitness Diploma and currently working on my Human Resource Diploma. People, systems and Health Promotion are my jam. I have always been in roles over the last 20 years that allowed me to blend all three of these pillars, which fills my cup.
Some things you need to know about me are that I went to the first all-girls ice hockey camp growing up, I am Canadian but Australia is now home, I am always listening to a podcast, movement is my medicine and I can’t wait to meet you all and join The Living Well Studio family.”
Achievements
If you haven’t been following our social media you might not be up to scratch with Cat making the Olympic team for kayaking! What an amazing achievement. We have all witnessed Cat’s dedication and hard work inside and outside the studio and we cannot wait to watch her hit the water in TOKYO 2021.

Making and Attending Appointments.
Some appointments can still be booked and done over the phone or online.
When making bookings you can book online but also pay online prior to your session to limit your interaction with staff other than your practitioner. There may not be all of the appointments listed online so if you want an appointment outside these times, please call the studio.
We are still able to do some of our appointments through an online (digital medium) or over the phone if you feel that this is a better option for you.
Our waiting and reception area will still be limited due to social distancing so if you wish to wait outside or in your car, please let us know by steeping inside and telling the staff first so we know you have arrived. We ask that you still wash your hands and dry with our individual hand towels that go straight into a wash bin provided. Our waiting room will be a place to pass through rather than stay for long.
Updated Cancellation Policy
We totally understand if you do wish to cancel because you are unwell in which case we won’t charge you a fee.
We ask that you please give us as much notice as possible as this only applies if you call us before your appointment to let us know. It may also give someone else the chance to have an appointment.
When cancellations occur within a 24 hour period prior to your appointment we charge:
- Full rate for Group Physiotherapy Exercise & Pilates Sessions
- $35 for all other services
**Please understand this cancellation fee is not claimable through your private health insurance.**
If you have any queries, please ask our friendly reception team.
We are still here for you.
