Our resident doTERRA specialist Julie Barfoot suggests…

doTERRA’s Clary Sage

Clary Sage is a biennial or perennial herb that grows up to six feet in height. Steam distilled from the Clary Sage flower it has a woody, herbal, coniferous aroma.

In the middle ages, the Clary Sage plant was nicknamed “clear eyes” for its positive effects on the eyes. It is know today as the oil of ‘clarity and vision’ and one of the finest oils to use for the brow chakra in between the eyes.

The main chemical component of the doTerra’s Clary Sage is linalyl acetate, part of the ester group making it one of the most relaxing, soothing, and balancing essential oils.

A popular choice for women as it is known to help soothe monthly discomfort associated with menstrual cycles and support to balance the hormones.

Suggested Uses:

Aromatic: Use 3-4 drops in an ultrasonic diffuser or combine with Roman Chamomile and add to bath water for a stress relieving bath. For a more restful sleep put a drop of Clary Sage on your pillow

Topical Use: Apply to the feet or pulse points to help balance hormones or for menstrual discomfort gently rub 2-3 drops across the lower abdomen
