Pilates Changes in 2018
Jan 8, 2018 | Pilates
This year we’re changing the Pilates offerings here at The Living Well Studio. For our existing clients, don’t panic and read on! The good news is our talented and experienced team are still here for you, along with some new friendly faces.
New Names, Same Quality!
From 2018, there will be two types of Pilates sessions to choose from at The Living Well Studio; Instructor led or Physio led.
What’s the difference between Physio led and Instructor led Pilates?
Very little!
Both Pilates types are equipment based, tailored to your individual needs and conducted by highly trained and accredited practitioners who have tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and other relevant modalities. Our practitioners, both Pilates trained Physios and Pilates Instructors, engage in weekly ongoing professional development, which filters through to the services they provide to you!
Why the change?
In simple terms, Physio led sessions are run by a Physio and are claimable through most health funds under Group Physiotherapy. The Instructor led sessions are not claimable under Group Physiotherapy as they are not conducted by a Physiotherapist, however some health funds will allow claims to be made for Pilates (not Physio related) until 2019. These sessions are also charged at a lower rate to accommodate for lack of claimability.
Furthermore, we also offer Pilates with Cassey our Exercise Physiologist, which may be claimable through most health funds.
We know some of this can be confusing so please visit the Pilates services page for further information and pricing.
Please get in touch with The Living Well Studio Team if you have any further questions or would like to book in for your Pilates sessions.
