Bubs and Me Pilates Classes
Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast
We believe Pilates is beneficial for all, at any age or fitness level, but especially after becoming a parent. We offer Physio Led Bubs and Me Pilates sessions that you can bring your baby along to.
For Mums, your body has gone through significant changes throughout your pregnancy and will continue to adapt to the new lifestyle demands. We believe core conditioning post birth is essential, and research indicates that working on your lumbar, pelvic and core health may minimise the likelihood of injuries.
If you didn’t discover Pilates in time for your care during your pregnancy, it’s not too late! Our highly skilled team of physiotherapists trained in the Pilates method will assess your biomechanical and structural health in order to guide your exercise and mobility selections.
All sessions experience the benefit of a highly supervised and personalised Pilates program developed following your initial assessment.
Note: Bubs and Me Pilates sessions are not just for Mums and Bubs, Dads are welcome too!
We recognise sleepless nights, new bending/reaching and holding positions affect Dads too. You’ll also be assessed prior to commencing Pilates with us, addressing any old niggle or injuries you may carry, plus those new lifestyle modifications.
Pilates is at our core

Thursdays at 12:30 pm
Please contact our team to book in for your initial assessment.
Before you get started
To begin Bubs and Me Pilates with us, we require that you complete both an initial assessment (60 minutes) and at least one 1:1 session (60 minutes).
1. Assessment: You will complete an initial consultation with a women’s and men’s health physiotherapist before your first Pilates session. We use state of the art tools including live ultrasound for examining core function as well as conduct a biomechanical screening. We take the time to listen and understand your needs. This guides us to develop a program that will support you to achieve your goals as well as promote overall wellness.
2. 1:1 Session: In your 1:1 equipment based Pilates session you will be introduced to the studio equipment, learn the principles of Pilates and move through your individualised program based on your assessment. This session also gives you the opportunity to get to know your instructor. New clients generally require one 1:1 session, however your Physiotherapist/Instructor may recommend extra sessions to help you gain confidence with the equipment and your exercise program.
3. Regular Sessions: You can choose to continue with regular 1:1 sessions or join a small group session with a regular time slot. Attending regular individualised and structured sessions will help you reach your goals and build strength and confidence. We recommend at least one session per week to help you stay motivated. After two or three sessions you will feel your body moving well, particularly if you are recovering from an injury.
